About me

Dr Mohammad Mehrad Sadr

Welcome to my website. I am a licensed psychotherapist and an IFS Certified Therapist, dedicated to providing transformative healing and growth for individuals and couples. With a wealth of experience and a strong passion for my work, I strive to empower my clients on their therapeutic journey.

My journey as a therapist began in 2016 when I adopted Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as my primary method. During this time, I also pursued studies in Narrative and Existential therapy, expanding my knowledge and skill set in these approaches.

In 2017, I embarked on an externship in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy, conducted by esteemed therapists Gail Palmer and Sandra Taylor, in the UAE. This experience deepened my understanding of working with couples and strengthening their emotional bonds.

In 2018, I had the privilege of serving as a facilitator for two externships held in Tehran and Isfahan. Under the guidance of Kyriaki Polychroni and Lieven Migrode, renowned trainers in the field, I contributed to the learning and growth of participants, further enriching my practice.

In 2019, my journey led me to discover Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy. Intrigued and captivated by its transformative potential, I conversed with Derek Scott. Together, we organized and conducted two online IFS courses explicitly tailored for Iranian students and therapists. I took charge of managing the entire process, ensuring a seamless learning experience. Inspired by the success of these courses, we subsequently organized two in-person workshops on IFS in Iran, fostering the growth of IFS in the region.

To deepen my expertise in IFS, I completed Derek Stepping Stone's comprehensive 4-month online course. This immersive experience allowed me to integrate IFS principles and techniques into my therapeutic approach, enhancing my ability to facilitate lasting change in my clients' lives.

In 2020, I embarked on a transformative journey by enrolling in the Level 1 training program offered by the IFS Institute. Over 8 months, under the guidance of trainers Chris Burris and Tamala Floyed, I delved into the intricacies of IFS, expanding my theoretical knowledge and honing my therapeutic skills.

Additionally, I had the honor of serving as a Program Assistant for the Life Architect IFS Level 1 training in Poland. This role allowed me to contribute to creating a supportive and enriching learning environment for participants, fostering their growth and development in the field of therapy.

Driven by my passion for research, I conducted my Ph.D. Dissertation on the intersection of IFS and Internet Addiction. The findings of my study have been published in an article, which you can find here.

In my dedication to advancing the field of IFS, I founded IFS-Iran, an organization committed to promoting and expanding the knowledge of IFS in Iran and beyond. Through workshops, training, and community engagement, we aim to empower individuals and professionals to embrace the transformative power of IFS.

Since 2019, I have been practicing IFS individual and couple therapy with unwavering passion and commitment. Witnessing the profound impact it has on my client's lives, I am dedicated to expanding the reach of IFS in Iran and globally.

I invite you to explore my website further to learn more about my services and how I can support you on your path to healing and personal growth. As Dr. Schwartz beautifully puts it,
